Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Founders & Movers ("we", "us", "our") operates the fo-mo.ch platform — a B2B lead intelligence service that processes Swiss commercial register (SHAB) data for professional subscribers. For questions about this policy, contact us at privacy@fo-mo.ch.

2. What data we collect

Account data. When you register, we collect your name, work email address, company name, and role. This is used to authenticate you, configure your feed, and communicate about your subscription.

Usage data. We collect information about how you use the platform — pages visited, leads saved, alerts set, exports run. This is used to improve the product and to provide you with usage summaries.

Billing data. Payments are handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We store only the last four digits of your card, billing address, and transaction records. We do not store full card details.

Communication data. If you contact us by email, we retain those communications to provide support and improve the service.

SHAB data. The Swiss Official Gazette of Commerce (SHAB) is a public register. We process SHAB publications as part of the service. These relate to legal entities, not to individual private persons, and are public information.

3. How we use your data

• To provide the Founders & Movers service, including your scored lead feed, daily brief emails, and instant alerts
• To personalise the service based on your role preset, industry preferences, and canton focus
• To process your subscription and handle billing through our payment processor
• To send you transactional emails — daily briefs, account updates, payment confirmations
• To respond to support and sales enquiries
• To analyse usage patterns and improve the product

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. Legal basis for processing

We process your personal data on the following bases:

• Contract performance — to provide the service you have subscribed to
• Legitimate interest — to improve the product, prevent fraud, and ensure platform security
• Legal obligation — where required by Swiss or EU law
• Consent — for any optional communications or cookies not strictly necessary for service delivery

5. Data sharing

We share data with a limited number of service providers necessary to operate the platform:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Email delivery provider — for sending daily briefs and transactional emails
• Cloud infrastructure provider — for hosting the platform (data stored in Switzerland or the EU)

All processors are contractually bound to process data only for the specified purpose and in accordance with applicable data protection law.

We will disclose data to law enforcement or regulatory authorities where required by law. We will inform you before doing so unless legally prohibited.

6. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, we retain your data for 90 days in case you wish to reactivate, then delete it. Billing records are retained for 10 years as required by Swiss accounting law. Anonymised usage data may be retained indefinitely.

7. Your rights

Under the Swiss nDSG and EU GDPR (where applicable), you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Receive your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

8. Cookies and tracking

We use strictly necessary cookies for session management and authentication. We use analytics cookies to understand how the platform is used — these can be declined. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Security

We apply industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), encrypted storage, access controls, and regular security reviews. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal data, we will notify you within 72 hours as required by law.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to all active subscribers at least 14 days before taking effect. The current version is always available at fo-mo.ch/privacy.
